With RON, signers and notaries are able to get documents signed and notarized without the need for a physical meeting. Through live video chat on a secure technology platform, the notary will verify signer identities using authentication ID technology. Key documents are signed and stamped digitally, and the process is recorded using a secure audio video platform.

•During your meeting, you will need to show the notary your ID and physically sign your documents on camera.

Most jails offer professional visiting hours,  so we can usually process the signing of your document on the day of your appointment. An attorney need not be present the day of signing. I handle the signing and notarization. To notarize an Advance Health Care directive in a Nursing Home facility only, the signing must be witnessed by a patient advocate called an ombudsman. This person ensures that the patient understands what they are signing, is alert and agrees with the health care decisions detailed in the document. Without this special witness, the directive will not be honored at the facility and could be challenged at another facility. 

 Similar to a power of attorney, a healthcare proxy allows a person to make decisions on behalf of an incapacitated patient. A proxy must be notarized to be legitimate.

1. After booking your appointment, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the details of your appointment and a link to your meeting page.
2. On the meeting page, you’ll upload your unsigned documents and complete automated ID verification.
3. During your meeting, you will need to manually verify your ID and electronically sign your documents.
4. Once all signers have signed, the notary will place his/her electronic seal on the document(s)

All signers will receive the final notarized copy via email once it is complete.
